Run, walk and roll to strengthen your limbs and oppose illegal handguns in Philadelphia.

Magee Rehabilitation Hospital’s Think First Program-- which teaches kids and young adults to think first before engaging in risky behavior—and Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR) will co-host the 4th annual Legs Against Arms 5k Run on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at St. Joes University.

Race registration is at 7am and the race starts at 8:30am at 54th and Overbrook Avenue.

In 2009, over 500 runners making up 10 teams particiapted.

In 2010, over 24 teams are expected to register.

Participants from local high schools, medical staff and families are among the teams registered and several wheelchair teams are signed up to participate.

The American Revolution Center is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to engaging the public in the history and enduring legacy of the American Revolution. The Center owns a distinguished collection of objects, artifacts and manuscripts, and is working to establish a living memorial to the American Revolution—The Museum of the American Revolution.

The Philadelphia International Flower Show will feature a new exhibit that showcases the use of plants and flowers in a therapeutic context.
