The Montgomery County Woman-Owned Business Network provides for women entrepreneurs, and women who aspire to be entrepreneurs, practical information and resources to use to start, grow, or sustain a successful business. Leading women entrepreneurs and subject matter experts will lead workshops on topics such as social media, networking, and the art of negotiating. The Network meets select Wednesday evenings from 5:30 – 8:00 pm at Montgomery County

Woman-Owned Business Network

The Montgomery County Woman-Owned Business Network provides for women entrepreneurs, and women who aspire to be entrepreneurs, practical information and resources to use to start, grow, or sustain a successful business. These informal, interactive meetings begin with networking followed by a workshop. Network meetings are held on selected Wednesday evenings, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Montgomery County Community College in the Faculty/Staff Dining Room in College Hall. Membership in the Network is $20.00 per year and you can join any time. To register, please call 215-641-6397.

The Spring session of the Montgomery County Woman-Owned Business Network begins on April 1st with speaker Deana Zelenka, CEO and Managing Director of Oppelle, a membership organization dedicated to the success and growth of the world's leading women CEOs, presidents and business owners. Food Manufacturers' Energy Forum

Members of the food manufacturing industry are invited to attend an Energy Forum, sponsored by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Food Manufacturers’ Consortium. This Forum will provide a detailed look at the energy crisis facing Pennsylvania food manufacturers and help your company develop action steps to help your business deal with this crisis. Forum speakers include Scott Sikorski, Legislative Aide, Senator Rob Wonderling’s Office; John Choma, Director of Energy Connect; Joseph Maida, President of Maida Engineering; and Jill Sinkiewicz, Key Account Manager of PPL. Adventures for Young Entrepreneurs is a new course being offered at Montgomery County Community College for youth who are interested in someday starting a business of their own. The camp is being held July 28 through August 1 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at the Central Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell. Aspiring entrepreneurs ages 13 to 17 will learn how to identify business opportunities, how to pinpoint investors through networking, and how to grow a young idea into a lucrative career.
