The Generosity Continues for the Great Guys Group

Posted to Announcement by Mr. Paul G. Isenberg of Bringing Hope Home at 2:29 PM

In December 2011, the Great Guys Group launched “Adopt A Great Family” to give shoppers an opportunity to refocus their holiday shopping to those who were being hit hard this season. This program allowed a donor to connect with one family in particular who was in need of help over the holidays. Donors were able to pay bills directly for their “adopted”. In total, 34 groups participated in the Adopt-A-Great Family Program and $38,000 was raised and was used to directly help 55 families battling cancer in our area. The program also provided holiday gifts for five families and provided others with grocery gift cards. The Great Guys Group is a 501(c) 3 organization serving the Delaware Valley region and those affected by cancer and who need financial support. They work directly with their utilities and lenders on their behalf and provide funds to make sure they are able to stay in their house, with the lights on, heat and air pumped up, cell phones working and food on the table.
