7th Annual Frederic Fox Leadership Lecture: Innovative Economy

Understanding the drivers of economic and community innovation allows us to support the local, regional, national and global initiatives that enable business to flourish. Join us on April 30, 2013 from 7:30-9:30 am for the Frederic Fox Leadership Lecture at the Fox School of Business program. Following a presentation by Thomas Morr, President and CEO of Select Greater Philadelphia, the panelists will address “What Drives the Innovation Economy” opening a dialog on how we, in the region, can promote new enterprise and increasing levels of productivity -- all of which contribute to this innovation economy.

National Urban League Conference - Marketplace Opportunity

The Urban League of Philadelphia will host the National Urban League Conference at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, July 24 to July 27, 2013. One of the highlights will be The Marketplace where vendors will sell high quality, regionally manufactured merchandise. The Marketplace will give small African-American Community-based entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase and sell their products.

To determine your eligiblity as a vendor, please click on the URL and review the RULES FOR EXHIBITING.
APPLICATIONS must be submitted by Friday, April 19, 2013.
The review process will begin early March, 2013 and entries received after April 19, 2013 are not guaranteed review. We will be contacting you of our decision by the end of April, 2013.

Philadelphia's Infrastructure - A Pathway to Jobs, Economic Development, and Sustainability

The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce is the region’s largest business association dedicated to promoting regional economic growth, advancing business-friendly public policies, and providing its members outstanding programs, benefits and services. The Chamber’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) is a professional development program designed to provide young professionals in the area with an insider's view of the Greater Philadelphia business community.
The intern will work with the Vice President and the YPN Membership Committee on two new membership initiatives. Duties include: market research and analysis, creation of marketing plan and assistance with implementation, outreach and engagement of members, creation of database and some office work. Qualifications: Ability to multi-task, work in teams, strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft applications, good communication and writing skills.
