STOP THE VIOLENCE PROTEST

Posted to Announcement by Ms. Judy B. Harrington of Health Partners at 9:58 AM

Protest rally at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Room 108 AB (enter at 12th and Arch) at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18th.
Declaring violence in Philadelphia as a public health crisis, hundreds of hospice nurses, home health aides, therapists, managed care and insurance organizations and community activists holding signs representing the 300 people killed here in the last year will rally to protest the random and senseless violence that is pervading the city and surrounding counties.
At the rally, Keystone Hospice and Keystone Home Health staffers together with their colleagues from the Pennsylvania Home Care Association, the National Association for Home Care and Hospice; Montgomery County district attorney candidate Peter Amuso; and CeaseFire PA President Phil Goldsmith will call on the medical community to band together and demand that the city and state take action.
For more information or to speak to Inderwies, contact Jennifer Bilotta at 215-206-6268.

Health Partners and the Institute for Safe Families “Children Learn” Campaign

Posted to Announcement by Ms. Judy B. Harrington of Health Partners at 5:11 PM

What is it?
Health Partners, the Health Partners Foundation and the Institute for Safe Families (ISF) believe that violence in the home spreads to violence in the streets. As one effort to help stop the violence, we have embarked on a campaign to encourage better parenting through mass distribution of the “Children Learn What They Live” poem and graphic. And, we’re looking for corporate partners who may want to help spread this powerful message. Click the related file link below to view the poem and graphic.

Could your company help spread this message?
Health Partners and ISF are seeking corporate partners who want to help fight violence in this very visible and family-focused effort. Your company is invited to join this vital cause as a co-sponsor and have your corporate logo in the lower right corner square of the graphic.

Together, we can raise children who don’t resort to violence.

For more information, contact: Judy Harrington, President, Health Partners Foundation, 215-991-4061
