Volpe and Koenig’s Kristine Butler Appointed to Chair of the Jefferson Medal Committee for the NJIPLA

PRINCETON, New Jersey (September 6, 2011) – Volpe and Koenig, P.C., a leading intellectual property boutique law firm with offices in Princeton, New Jersey and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania announced today that Associate, Kristine L. Butler has been appointed Chair of the Jefferson Medal Committee by the New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association (“NJIPLA”). Butler, who has been actively involved with the NJIPLA for over 10 years, will guide the committee through the process of selecting the recipient of the Jefferson Medal, which is awarded annually to a person who has made exceptional contributions to the field of patents, trademarks and copyrights. Volpe and Koenig, P.C. Raises Over $4,500 for the American Cancer Society Bike-a-thon Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (July 26, 2011) – Volpe and Koenig, P.C., a leading intellectual property boutique law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Princeton, New Jersey announced that 22 employees participated in the 39th Annual American Cancer Society (“ACS”) Bike-a-thon Philadelphia, which kicked-off on the morning of July 10, 2011 in downtown Philadelphia. While 2011 marks the 8th year that its employees have trekked either a 61- or 100-mile course from the Ben Franklin Bridge to Buena Vista, New Jersey, Volpe and Koenig named this year’s squad “Team Steve Bennett” to honor Shareholder Fred Koenig’s childhood friend and biking companion who passed away from cancer in 2008. The Firm raised over $4,500 for the event, which will go towards funding cancer research, advocacy, education, and patient programs and services.

Volpe and Koenig, P.C., a leading intellectual property law firm with offices in Philadelphia and Princeton, New Jersey, announced today that the Firm is now accepting applications from local non-profit organizations for its 5th Annual Giving Fund Campaign. Established in 2007, the annual Giving Fund helps two qualifying Greater Philadelphia area and Princeton, NJ non-profit organizations continue their good work by awarding them each a $20,000 grant. This year, non-profits that support community development or animal education/welfare are invited to apply by filling out a short electronic application posted at (www.vklawgivingfund.com). Initial application forms must be received by July 31, 2011. Finalists will be notified in August and invited to complete a more extensive application. The Firm encourages local non-profit organizations to review the Giving Fund Guidelines on its Web site to see if they qualify.
