CASA's I Am For the Child Campaign

Posted to Announcement by Allison Modica of CASA of Philadelphia County at 1:55 PM

May 6 - 10, 2013
The Shops at Liberty Place
(1625 Chestnut Street Philadelphia, Pa)
Last year approximately 4,100 children were removed from their homes because of abuse and neglect and placed in Philadelphia’s foster care system. In honor of National Foster Care Month, CASA is raising awareness about our city’s foster children and the important role CASA volunteers have advocating for them. CASA is a volunteer-powered network of committed people who believe society has a fundamental obligation to make sure the basic rights and essential needs of these children do not get overlooked or ignored by the system. We are people just like you who believe every child has the right to be treated with dignity, to be safe, and to thrive in the embrace of a loving family.
