Robert A. Korn, Esq. and Karin Corbett, Esq., members of the Construction Law group of Kaplin Stewart in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, are contributing authors of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s recently published “Pennsylvania Construction Law: Project Delivery Methods, Execution, and Completion”, having authored the Chapter titled “Tort Actions Arising on Construction Projects” which focuses on tort claims against the design professional and others involved in the construction process. Mr. Korn and Ms. Corbett’s work discusses professional malpractice as well as other tort theories, including ordinary and gross negligence and negligent misrepresentation. Neil A. Stein, co-founder and principal of Kaplin, Stewart, Meloff, Reiter & Stein, P.C., in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, recently presented a program for the Dean’s Forum at Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law. The program was designed to introduce law students and property faculty to the “Nuts and Bolts of a Land Use Practice.” Mr. Stein has more than 25 years of experience throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey in all aspects of real estate transactions, including land use approvals, zoning, land use litigation, eminent domain, environmental, financing, and community association documentation. He lectures frequently to builder and developer trade groups and has served as a panel chair and presenter for numerous Pennsylvania Bar Institute programs.
