Get Connected. Share Your Talents.

Have you heard the one about the CPA who walked into a contemporary dance company and helped develop a business plan? Or the one about the technology consultant who stole the show by helping a theater company with their fundraising database? What about the financial services executive who helped to make history come to life by guiding a strategic planning project? Or the independent technology service provider who built a new and improved computer workstation, server, software, printer and backup infrastructure for an organization whose critical work provides creative outlets for youth?

When business and technology professionals lend their time and talent to the arts, we all benefit. A vibrant cultural scene is good for business — and great for business people.

Now you have a great opportunity to also get connected and share your skills.

The Arts & Business Council is currently recruiting technology and business professionals to serve as volunteer consultants to nonprofit arts and cultural organizations.

The next Leadership Training Class for volunteer consultants will be held at the Chamber from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 27.

Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA) seeks professionals from a variety of business backgrounds — including organizational development, finance, human resources, business planning, strategic planning, marketing and public relations—to serve as management consultants on a project basis. Apply now.

Technology Connectors is recruiting technology professionals with a wide range of expertise — from hands-on project support like website design, database construction, and network installation to strategic technology assessments and planning. Apply now.

GPCC members are especially encouraged to participate in the September session. There is a one-time fee of $250, which includes the Leadership Training as well as all the benefits of becoming an Arts & Business Council volunteer: customized placement on projects; staff support throughout each project; invitations to special volunteers-only events and forums/networking events that will help you become a well connected and arts-savvy member of the community.

Learn more about becoming a BVA volunteer. Contact Eileen Cunniffe, Director of BVA, at 215.790.3621 or ecunniffe@artsandbusinessphila.org.
