County Breakfast Series To Focus on Higher Education
The third annual County Breakfast Series, presented by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) and Wachovia will kick off in Chester County on October 4, 2006. Following the leadership of GPCC’s CEO Council for Growth, the series will focus on the positive economic growth impacts of the region’s higher education institutions. Programs will include an update on Select Greater Philadelphia’s progress in the past year and outline the economic development organization’s new Business Ambassador Initiative. Audience members will be encouraged to take an active role and share their suggestions and expertise during the panel discussion.
Greater Philadelphia’s eleven counties are home to 83 colleges and universities throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and northern Delaware. Businesses of all sizes are affected by the region’s institutions of higher education. They are an excellent resource for qualified employees and interns, exceptional professional development and continuing employee education, extraordinary research and innovation, as well as being some of the region’s largest employers.
County Breakfast Series panels will feature representatives from these leading educational institutions, as well as businesses that have forged beneficial partnerships with them to improve the workforce of both their company and the region. Questions will be asked of the audience to create an interactive discussion with the panelists. Join us as we investigate ways to further leverage these partnerships and develop the human capital of the region that is essential for transforming Greater Philadelphia into a top U.S. business location by 2010.
