County Breakfast Series to visit New Castle and Philadelphia Counties

The last County breakfast of this year will be held in New Castle County on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, and the first County Breakfast of the new year will take place on Tuesday, January 30, 2007.

The third annual County Breakfast Series, presented by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and Wachovia, under the leadership the Chamber’s CEO Council for Growth, focuses on the positive economic growth impact of the region's higher education institutions. The programs provide an update on Select Greater Philadelphia's progress in the past year and outline the economic development organization's new business volunteer initiative.

Greater Philadelphia's 11 counties are home to 88 colleges and universities throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and northern Delaware and are excellent resources that provide qualified employees and interns, exceptional professional development and continuing employee education, and cutting-edge research and innovation. They are also some of the region's largest employers.

County Breakfast Series panels feature representatives from these leading educational institutions, as well as business organizations that have forged beneficial partnerships to improve the workforces of both their company and the region. Join us as we investigate ways to further leverage these partnerships and develop the human capital of the region to continue transforming Greater Philadelphia into a top U.S. business location by 2010.
