County Breakfast Series in Philadelphia

The first County breakfast Series of the New Year will be held at Drexel University, in Philadelphia County, on January 30, 2007.

The Chamber has assembled a distinguished group of panelists for this event, including Anthony Conti, Office Managing Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Dr. Stephen Curtis, President of the Community College of Philadelphia, Dr. Joseph DiAngelo, Dean of the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph's University, Dr. Constantine Papadakis, President of Drexel University, Rosemary Turner, Vice President of Metro Philadelphia District UPS, and Thomas Morr, President & CEO of Select Greater Philadelphia.

The third annual County Breakfast Series, presented by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and Wachovia, under the leadership of the Chamber's CEO Council for Growth, focuses on the positive economic growth impacts of the region's higher education institutions. The programs also provide an update on Select Greater Philadelphia's progress in the past year and outline the economic development organization's new business volunteer initiative.

Greater Philadelphia's 11 counties are home to 83 colleges and universities throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and northern Delaware.  Businesses of all sizes are affected by the region's institutions of higher education.  They are a top resource for qualified employees and interns, exceptional professional development and continuing employee education, extraordinary research and innovation, and are themselves some of the region's largest employers.

Join us as we investigate ways to leverage the partnerships between business and education, in order to develop the human capital of the region and continue transforming Greater Philadelphia into a top U.S. business location by 2010.
