Mayor John Street to Share His Vision for Philadelphia’s Future
Join hundreds of your business colleagues, as well as many government officials, on Wednesday, February 14, for the 24th Annual Mayoral Luncheon, presented by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the Comcast Family of Companies. Philadelphia Mayor John F. Street will share his vision for his final year in office and thoughts on relevant issues awaiting the next Mayor at the event, held at the Sheraton Philadelphia Center City Hotel on 17th & Race Streets.
Attendees will be given an opportunity to share their thoughts on what they believe are the important issues facing the next Philadelphia mayor. Representatives from The Next Mayor, an initiative of WHYY, the Philadelphia Daily News and the Committee of Seventy that aims to educate the public and contribute to the knowledge of voters, will be on hand to interview members of the business community about issues that need to be addressed in the upcoming election.
The Mayoral Luncheon will also feature two Philadelphia high school students with a deep commitment to service in their community. They will be honored with the Gus Amsterdam Leadership Award, which includes a $5,000 scholarship towards higher education. Additionally, the Chamber will be collecting new or well-conditioned books at the luncheon to donate to Philadelphia Reads and used to enhance the literary experience of deserving students.
