Philadelphia Business Journal Honors YPN Members in May
Two members of the Young Professionals Network (YPN) will be honored with the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award in May. This award pays tribute to 40 individuals in the Philadelphia metropolitan area under the age of 40 who have excelled in their respective industries and have a proven commitment to the community.
YPN Chair Steve Grandizio, President of Friendly Mortgage, and former YPN chair Sheila Hess, Manager Social Mission Programs, Independence Blue Cross, both made the list.
They will be honored at an awards banquet on May 2, for their efforts in making Greater Philadelphia a better place to work and live. Furthermore, winners will be profiled in a special section of the May 4 issue of the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The next YPN event is Wednesday, April 18, at 6:00 p.m. at World Café Live. Co-sponsored by Saint Joseph’s University and TD Banknorth, the event will feature a discussion with Hal Real, founder of the innovative music venue.
YPN is a professional development program of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce designed to allow young business people to interact socially, exchange ideas, and share common interests. With an insider’s view of the regional business scene, young business people can improve their networking skills, make contacts with their peers from various industries, and meet regularly with the region’s most prominent and influential business leaders at monthly programs and events.
