Chamber Honors Philadelphia City Council

Last month, the Chamber held its annual City Council Reception, where the Chamber joined Council President Anna C. Verna in honoring the members of the Philadelphia City Council.  The principal sponsor, PNC Bank, hosted this long-standing reception that drew nearly 300 CEOs, senior managers, and small business owners.

This annual reception is an excellent opportunity for the city and region’s business leaders and Council members to interact, strengthen ties, and forge new relationships.  This year’s event was no exception.  Attendees enjoyed the company of a number of Council members representing council manic districts across Philadelphia as well as members at-large.

Similar to many of the Chamber’s other public policy related events, the City Council Reception offers a comfortable atmosphere and brief program.  Remarks were given by Chamber President & CEO, Mark Schweiker, and Bill Mills, President, PNC Bank, Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.  Council President Verna then honored those members of City Council in attendance with recognition and awards.

The event was co-sponsored by PECO Energy, BOMA, NovaCare Rehabilitation, Apartment Association of Greater Philadelphia, and Southwest Airlines.
