Donations for Youth Internships Still Accepted

It’s not too late to donate to Working Solutions, the Chamber’s campaign to identify 1,000 employer-paid internships for Philadelphia youth this summer. Donations will support the placement of young people at a local nonprofit or neighborhood business.

Internships are important for building our region’s next generation of workers by providing youth with the tools and experience necessary to become capable and productive citizens and employees. The cost for providing a six-week internship is about $1600.

Thanks to the support of many of our region’s companies that have committed to providing a workplace experience for one or more Philadelphia youth this summer, we have identified 775 employer-paid internships.
