Chamber Presented with National Award for Communications Excellence
The American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) presented the Chamber with its 23rd Annual Award for Communications Excellence (ACE). The Chamber's entry of its annual relocation guide – The Greater Philadelphia Story – received an award of merit.
The Awards for Communication Excellence is an annual competition that recognizes excellence in all areas of communications. Celebrating its 23rd year, ACE continues to be the vehicle for the chamber community to promote effective chamber communications, as well as highlight initiatives, introduce events and inform members.
This year's ACE competition drew 192 entries from chambers throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Awards for Communications Excellence is an annual competition that recognizes excellence in all areas of chamber of commerce communications. ACE continues to be the vehicle for the chamber community to promote effective chamber communications as well as highlight initiatives, introduce events and inform members.
“The ACE Awards truly recognize and honor all of the hard work that each chamber puts forth in their marketing communications,” said Demming Bass, chair of the ACE Awards Committee and marketing and public policy vice president at the Gwinnett (GA) Chamber of Commerce. “These winners represent the best of the best of chamber professionals and organizations from across the nation.”
“These entries serve as excellent models for chambers to learn new communication methods as well as enhance their own marketing and communications efforts,” Bass continued.
More than forty judges spent 200 hours judging entries, and provided comprehensive feedback for each participant. Judges' backgrounds included experience in the fields of public relations, printing and design, special events planning, fundraising, journalism, economic development, web design, and public policy. |
