Family First: Succession Planning 9/18

A new year of family first programming kicks off on Tuesday, September 18 at 8:00 a.m. at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, with an event focused on succession planning.

As a family business transitions its success into the next generation of leadership, it is important that key executives plan wisely to ensure a positive impact on their company’s future. Panelists from prominent regional family businesses will discuss their own experience and offer tips on how to retain talent and identify a succession candidate.

Each attendee will receive The Family Business Succession Handbook, courtesy of Firstrust Bank. The book is intended to help business owners understand -- and successfully resolve -- the myriad of issues that arise when a family firm enters the problematic territory of succession planning.

Panelists will be Hy Goldberg, CEO, Safian & Rudolph Jewelers; William Mignucci, President, Di Bruno Brothers; and J.M. Herr, Chairman of the Board and CEO, Herr Foods, Inc. The event will be moderated by Caro Rock, Publisher, Family Business Magazine

Family First is Greater Philadelphia’s first program exclusively for family-owned business.
