County Breakfast Series Builds a Regional Agenda for Growth

Executives from two large South Jersey employers are set to discuss their companies’ success and investment in Greater Philadelphia on Wednesday, October 31 at the first meeting of the 2007-08 County Breakfast Series, which is presented by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and sponsored for the fourth consecutive year by Wachovia.

The breakfast will feature William P. Loftus, President & CEO, Gestalt, LLC; and David Broadbent, Vice President, Operations & Global Sustainment, Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors.

The County Breakfast Series, which will visit eight counties in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, brings together the regional business community, policy makers, and civic leaders to identify Greater Philadelphia’s strengths and build a collective agenda for growth. It provides an opportunity for attendees to hear firsthand from some of the region’s most prominent CEOs, to gain unique insight into the latest county-specific issues and to network with their professional peers.

"Greater Philadelphia’s strategic location, affordable cost of doing business, and talented workforce position us as a powerful marketplace," said Mark Schweiker, President & CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. "The County Breakfast Series fosters a culture of collaboration and innovation among the region’s many business and economic development players. This is necessary to keep Greater Philadelphia competitive in an increasingly global marketplace."

Each breakfast will include informal, candid interviews with CEOs in that county, followed by a question and answer session with the audience.

In addition, partnering organizations and local officials will address recent economic and public policy issues within the county and how they relate to the overall progress of our region.

The Southern New Jersey County Breakfast will be held on October 31 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the Mansion on Main Street. This breakfast is presented in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey. To register, click here or contact 215-790-3607.
