The Greater Philadelphia Region’s Economic Outlook for 2008

This year marks the Chamber's 10th annual Economic Outlook conference in partnership with Sovereign Bank.

Aimed at providing business leaders with a better perspective on the region’s economic environment, the event will take place on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in the Grand Ballroom at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue. The program will look into the region's competitiveness and the issues that will impact the business community in the coming year.

This breakfast traditionally attracts about 500 executives across a wide variety of business sectors and features a much-anticipated release of Sovereign Bank's economic survey results culled from responses by the regional business community. Economic forecasts will be shared for a variety of industries in the region, including real estate, health care, retail, tourism and manufacturing.

The keynote speaker will be Mark Zandi, Ph.D., Chief Economist & Co-Founder of Moody’s Economy.com, Inc. The event also includes a panel discussion with members representing a range of industries, including Joseph Houldin, CEO, Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center and Jack Ferguson, Vice President of Convention Sales, Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau.
