Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia is Taking it to the Streets!

On Friday, May 9, the Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia will shine the spotlight on the $1.3 billion nonprofit arts and cultural sector, a masterpiece of the Greater Philadelphia economy.

Arts & Business Council Awards 2008 will showcase how companies incorporate the arts into their strategic plans and partner with the arts in unique ways. We will highlight the business leaders who have dedicated their business expertise and resources to achieve big results. And, we will celebrate our region’s 20,000 artists and 1,000 arts and cultural organizations that create a vibrant and alluring quality of life.

Please join us for Awards 2008 on Thursday, May 9, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Lunch with 1,600 inspirational leaders at the region’s most colorful, exciting and energized event of the year — the perfect way to entertain clients, recognize key employees and celebrate arts and culture in our region. This year’s honorees are stopping traffic with their passion for the arts and at Awards 2008; they will share their stories that will truly inspire you.

In addition to highlighting our honorees, attendees will enjoy incredible live entertainment including an awe inspiring performance by the world touring hip hop company, Illstyle & Peace Productions, and Cirque du Soleil who will present an act from its latest touring show Kooza that will keep everyone on the edge of your seats.

As an organization that helps to drive the cultural vitality and economic development of the Greater Philadelphia Region, the Council recognizes the importance of calling attention to the outstanding efforts of individuals and organizations dedicated to creating partnerships between the business and arts sectors. With these partnerships, everyone benefits. Business prospers through diverse, stimulating and leadership-building opportunities and the arts flourish.
