Shred Patrol Gives Back!
Since our inception in 2005, Shred Patrol has endeavored to give back to the community. Shred Patrol has had real impact on the environment and the community at large. “Serve, Shred, Protect”, is more than our slogan; it is a commitment to do our best. At Shred Patrol we believe that our best is to serve our community both in our business ventures and social obligations.
Our management team, John, Lori, Janet and Mike personally strive to donate their time for their community. John has been a volunteer fireman in Springfield for the last five years. Janet is a school teacher in Delaware County and the Educational Director of the GSWC Junior Women’s Club of Springfield. Lori is an Ambassador for the Eastern Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, a Lower Moreland PTA member, and soon will be helping the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. Mike volunteers as a coach to our local sports teams and supports the United Way and The Carter Center.
You’ve all heard the saying, Time is Money. Well, try to think of that statement in the context of Your Time is Money for your Charity. As a new small business, it is sometimes very hard to find the funds needed to donate to a given charity. But your time is always a valuable commodity. In the last year, Shred Patrol has donated its time and services to many charity events and silent auctions. For fundraising auctions, we’re happy to donate our services. Our auction donations have benefited New Hope Academy, the Junior Women’s Club of Springfield and Childhood Cancer Marathon to name a few. Whether it be a high school football fundraiser, political event, fundraising auction or community events, we are always willing to help out.
Going Green is not just a buzz word for us. What better way to give back to the community than the Free Shredding Events we participate in where all the paper is recycled. Our free shredding events, like Havertown Days in October, give residents an opportunity to securely shred their private papers at no cost to them. They can keep their identity safe while helping the environment.
In this day and age of identity theft, we all know how important it is to keep your identity protected. To help with that, Shred Patrol participates in identity theft awareness events and distributes informational packets to the community. You can find all the information you need about our Free Shredding Events at www.ShredPatrol.com.
So, as the cost of living increases and your wallet gets thinner, take some time to think of the non-monetary ways you can give back. In the end, we believe you’ll be richer for it. And as Shred Patrol grows, we look forward to using our time and service to help our community too.
