Who Are We: Elwyn is a unique organization. We are a non-profit corporation that has worked for over 150 years to better the lives and life opportunities of people in need. Elwyn is nationally recognized as a pioneer in developing groundbreaking programs for children and adults with disabilities and disadvantages. Our culture and dedicated staff enable more than 12,000 people to build more independent, productive lives. We are and have been a part of Pennsylvania human service community since 1852 and now extend our services to New Jersey, Delaware as well as California.
Elwyn has many Divisions within it vast operation, but perhaps of special interest to our Chamber membership is Elwyn’s Work Services Division.
The Work Services Division within Elwyn, serves thousands of people each year with the primary goal of providing training and support to this group of individuals to prepare them for today’s competitive work environment.
Are we successful……Yes…..ask “University of Pennsylvania Hospital Systems” that utilizes our production and outsourcing facilities to meet their needs for volume collating and mailing services. Talk to Comcast Spectorcor, The Fresh Grocer or The Philadelphia Airport who have worked with Elwyn to identify qualified candidates for hire within their establishments.
Some employers even discovered they can employ a small group of personnel to work within their facilities under the supervision of a trained Elwyn staff, to complete both short term and even long term projects within their business operations.
