Money Matters: Financing Ideas & Opportunities
Are you unsure of where your small business will obtain financing in these uncertain economic times? If you are the owner of a small business, join us on Friday, November 7 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Chamber’s offices for expert advice on borrowing in the current economy and how to keep your money safe; the difference between bank and government loans; and applying for small business loans.
Money Matters is the first event in the three-part Owners Only series of educational, interactive, networking programs geared exclusively to owners and top management of small businesses. Designed to keep pace with the ever-changing business environment, the series explores issues central to running a small business — from day-to-day operations to continued growth and development challenges.
Joseph V. DePaul, Vice President, Commercial & Construction Lending, Conestoga Bank; Anthony Lamm, Partner, Lamm Rubenstone LLC; and Michael Kane, Business Development Specialist, Small Business Administration, will focus on business and commercial financing.
Topics include:
- The ins and outs of business and commercial financing and loans
- Legal perspectives on when and when not to sign
- Government-funded loans and alternative financing programs
- Analysis of different provisions in loan documents
- Asking the right questions
The Owners Only series is designed to provide plenty of time for exchanging ideas and exclusive networking in a non-selling environment.
The next two events in the series are on February 6 and May 6, 2009. The February 6 event on Management & Human Resources will feature Carrie Theisen, Director of HR Services, Midatlantic Employers’ Association and Jim Devine, President & CEO, Midatlantic Employers Association. The March 6 event on Marketing & Public Relations will feature a team of speakers from Bellevue Communications Group.
The first program of the Owners Only series is sponsored by Conestoga Bank.
