Greening Your Business
Join other business professionals in learning the how-to’s of going green in a changing economic environment at "Greening Your Business: Sustainable Ideas for Every Company." The program will take place at the Loews Hotel in Center City Philadelphia on November 13, with breakfast and networking beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Featured Speaker Mark Alan Hughes, Philadelphia’s new Director of Sustainability, will explain the sustainability blueprint for Philadelphia - a plan modeled after PlaNYC from Mayor Bloomberg's office - and the role of business in the green movement.
Then, a panel of experts will discuss expanding and creating green jobs in the regions; how climate changes affect your business; international, academic and small business perspectives, corporate social responsibility, and how to diversify your business.
Panelists will include Robert Haskins, CEO, GigaBiter and David Stangis, Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility, Campbell Soup Company.
A second panel will look at how new laws and future proposals could affect your business, and what other regions are doing to address environmental concerns.
SCA is the title sponsor of this event and GigaBiter is co-sponsoring. The media partner is the Philadelphia Business Journal and the media sponsor is WXPN.
