The Future of Advertising

Join us for a discussion on the history and future of Madison Avenue and the American advertising industry. This program will focus on the critical role that advertising plays in a company’s success in the current business environment. It will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 8:0 – 10:30 a.m. at the Chemical Heritage Foundation managed by THE HUB in Old City Philadelphia.

Kenneth Roman, former Chairman and CEO of the groundbreaking advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather, will discuss his latest book while offering insight into the current industry landscape and new, innovative advertising practices. The King of Madison Avenue: David Ogilvy and the Making of Modern Advertising is the first-ever biography of David Ogilvy, the maverick ad man who revolutionized marketing in the 20th century and whose lasting impact can be seen today. It chronicles the many advancements Ogilvy brought to the industry, including market research, branding, and direct marketing.

In addition, a panel of experts will discuss the future of advertising and how changing industry models will affect businesses. Topics will include the development of a media strategy and how to best integrate new media platforms into current advertising campaigns.

Panelists include:

  • Chris Bailey, CEO, Bailey Brand Consulting
