Paradigm Award Nominations Due 9/25
We are seeking nominations for the Paradigm Award, which the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce presents annually to a singular woman in business whose outstanding professional and personal achievements serve as a model for success.
Nomination Deadline: September 25, 2009
The Paradigm Award is presented at a special celebration. This year’s awards luncheon will be held on March 11, 2010 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, located in Center City.
Through the support of Ernst & Young LLP, the honoree receives and later directs $25,000 to a charitable organization in our region. An additional $25,000 in scholarships for working women is funded by Devereux, Stradley Ronon and other supporters. A one-year term on the GPCC Board of Directors is also reserved for the Paradigm Award recipient.
A nominee must be a chief executive of a for-profit company, responsible for the profit and loss of the business, and distinguished by her:
- Outstanding achievement in a business or profession
- Leadership abilities and dedication to a diversity of interests
- Positive influence on the economic and social fabric of our 11-county region
- Special commitment to women and quality of life for future generations
Past recipients include Judy Spires, President, ACME Markets in 2009; Deborah M. Fretz, President & CEO, Sunoco Logistics Partners, L.P. in 2008; and Terry D’Alessandro, EVP & Sr. Retail Market Leader, Sovereign Bank in 2007.
