Two Upcoming YPN Events 10/17 and 10/22

YPN Volunteers at McClure Elementary School for Greater Philadelphia Cares Day

Join Young Professionals Network (YPN) as we return to volunteer at McClure Elementary School, located at 600 West Hunting Park Avenue in North Philadelphia. YPN members will be rolling up their sleeves to help out with painting, cleaning and planting at the school on Saturday, October 17, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Come out and help YPN give back to the community and make a difference for education.

Last year, YPN’s 55 volunteers contributed over 220 hours of labor, which is equivalent to almost three weeks of full-time labor for two people to paint the school. We are excited to continue our volunteer relationship with McClure and to expand our activities and impact within the community.

What is Philadelphia Cares Day?
Greater Philadelphia Cares, in partnership with the Philadelphia School District, hosts the 15th Annual Philadelphia Cares Day, a marathon day of service that gives children attractive and more functional learning environments. More than 100 schools will benefit from fresh coats of paint, refurbished libraries, landscaped green spaces, restored playground equipment, and much more.

This event is presented in partnership with Greater Philadelphia Cares, Saint Joseph’s University Haub School of Business and TD Bank.

YPN Goes Bowling

Join YPN at Lucky Strike Lanes to network with fellow young professionals and welcome Chamber President and CEO, Rob Wonderling. This event will take place on Thursday October 22, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Lucky Strike Lanes located in Center City.

Wonderling will discuss how the Chamber and its affiliates can help young entrepreneurs prosper. He will also detail an agenda to advance the region’s businesses by strengthening entrepreneurial and tech communities. These goals reflect his lifelong interest in innovation and economic expansion as well as his commitment to the Philadelphia community.

This event is presented in partnership with Saint Joseph’s University Haub School of Business and TD Bank. It is hosted by Lucky Strike Lanes.
