Chamber to Host 209th Annual Meeting with Featured Speaker George Stephanopoulos
Join Chamber President & CEO Rob Wonderling and top regional business leaders at the Chamber’s 209th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, October 7, 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Center City, Philadelphia. The event will feature speaker George Stephanopoulos, ABC News Correspondent.
The Annual Meeting celebrates the Chamber and its membership of 5,000 organizations across 11 counties in three states. Wonderling will detail his goals and new agenda to advance the region’s businesses, particularly by strengthening the entrepreneurial and tech communities. He will also review the past year’s accomplishments and describe opportunities for Greater Philadelphia’s businesses to prosper in the upcoming year.
David L. Cohen, GPCC Chairman of the Board and Executive Vice President, Comcast Corporation, will welcome current Board members and introduce the newest members of the Board of Directors.
More than 1,500 business executives are expected to attend as Stephanopoulos, ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent and host of ABC’s Sunday morning political affairs program, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, discusses the nation’s priorities. As Chief Washington Correspondent, Stephanopoulos oversees ABC’s coverage of presidential and congressional politics and reports on political and policy stories for all ABC News platforms. In his role as anchor of This Week, he regularly interviews congressional newsmakers and prominent political leaders and governors. He has interviewed President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and previously President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.
