Should You Host an Office Holiday Party This Year?
Submitted By: Denise Sanfarraro, Marketing Coordinator, Aldo Lamberti's Family of Restaurants
Debating whether or not to host an office holiday party this year? Canceling it may seem like the right thing to do – the economy has been tough, employees are overworked and it doesn’t seem like anyone is in the mood for a party. You probably feel that this year, skipping the festivities may be for the best. However, let’s turn the tables. Those reasons may also be the cause for celebration. Didn’t your employees face difficult tasks head on, become a better team and meet and exceed goals this year... most likely with a smaller team?
It’s no secret that in 2009 most businesses faced some sort of adversity, and hosting an office Holiday Party may be a great way for you and your team to relax, unwind and celebrate each other and all the hard work you have done this year. It’s the perfect way to say ‘Thank You’ to all of your co-workers and validate them for a job well done. You don’t have to spend too much; a simple cocktail party, luncheon or happy hour will do. All your staff wants is to celebrate and look forward to a better year ahead. So, put your heads together and figure out a way...you and your team deserve it!
