Bridging the Gap: Managing Generational Diversity in the Workplace, 1/28
For the first time, four generations of workers are sharing the same workplace. To ensure employee satisfaction, managers need a new customized management approach that encompasses each generation’s different values, experiences, expectations and communication styles.
Join us at Bridging the Gap: Managing Generational Diversity in the Workplace to explore the unique needs and attributes of each generation and techniques to decrease generational misconceptions and increase effectiveness. This event will be held on Thursday, January 28, 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Chamber offices, located in Center City.
Moderated by Frank Giampietro, Managing Consultant, Towers Watson, this event will feature keynote speaker Deborah Russell, Director of Workforce Issues for AARP. Russell, who has been featured by AP, CBS, CNBC, and CNN, will explore how to effectively manage multi-generational talent to get optimal performance from all of your workers.
A panel discussion will offer insight and techniques to better manage your multi-generational talent. Panelists to date include Tom Davenport, Consultant, Towers Watson; Claire Simmers, Ph.D., Professor, Haub School of Business, St. Joseph’s University; and Marjorie Stein, Esq., Director, Employee Relations, CIGNA.
