The event will feature an address by keynote speaker Joseph A. Stanislaw, Ph.D., Independent Senior Advisor, Deloitte Center for Energy Solutions, and founder of the advisory firm, The JAStanislaw Group, LLC . A renowned global thought leader, Dr. Stanislaw advises clients and speaks regularly on future trends in the global energy sector, including developing products and services on emerging clean technologies, sustainable development, climate change, carbon initiatives and investment. He also co-founded and served as president & CEO of Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA), a leading international energy research firm.
Additionally, Peter J. Fontaine, Esquire, Co-chair of Energy, Environmental & Climate Change Practice at Cozen O'Connor, will moderate a panel of key stakeholders — from traditional providers in the energy sector, cleantech companies, and public policy leaders — as they share how companies are using innovation and clean technologies to help manage future energy costs and consumption.
Mr. Fontaine is a leading environmental and clean energy lawyer, with expertise in clean air and climate change matters. He previously served as an attorney with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. He is a frequent writer and speaker on sustainability issues and served on Gov. Rendell's transportation transition team. Today, he counsels leading renewable energy, sustainable technology, and clean transportation companies, helping them to commercialize their products. He currently chairs Camden County's Open Space Advisory Committee to conserve farmland and open space and is a board member of the New Jersey Conservation Foundation.
Panelists include Jim Gambino, Vice President of Technology Commercialization: Physical Science, Ben Franklin Technology Partners; John Hanger, Secretary of PA Department of Environmental Protection; Mary Ludford, Vice President for Smart Grid and Smart Meters, PECO; and Audrey Zibelman, CEO, Viridity Energy Inc.
The program will also include an update on the future of energy in our country and specific developments in the Greater Philadelphia region in its quest to become an “energy hub.”
