On The Move to Kick Off in October
Ready to kick off its ninth year, the On The Move campaign engages more than 200 enthusiastic Chamber volunteers from corporate teams in an 11-week campaign designed to help build a stronger Chamber.
Corporate volunteers from throughout Greater Philadelphia work with Chamber staff to raise additional revenue by selling Chamber memberships, sponsorships, and other Chamber products. The campaign allows the Chamber to enhance existing programs and services, increase the Chamber membership base, and strengthen the Chamber’s commitment to the improvement of the regional business climate. It also gives business volunteers the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and make important connections.
Throughout the years, our On The Move volunteers have helped raise more than $10 million, thereby putting us in the position to dramatically improve Chamber programming and, in turn, help Greater Philadelphia’s businesses. And this year, under the leadership of William R. Sasso, Esq., the Chamber hopes to reach and exceed its $2 million campaign goal.
Sasso, chairman of Stradley Ronon, agreed to serve as Chairman of the On The Move campaign. As a former chairman of the GPCC Board of Directors and a current member of the Executive Committee of the Board, Sasso’s trusted leadership was the perfect complement to the Chamber’s fundraising initiative.
"I look forward to working with all of the On the Move volunteers to reach the fundraising goal," Sasso said. "Like everyone involved in the campaign, I am devoted to improving our great region. In order for us to do this, we must continuously work towards building a stronger Chamber."
The campaign begins with the OTM Kick-off on Tuesday, October 7 at the Independence Seaport Museum.
