Sometimes the greatest challenge a cancer patient faces is getting to their treatments. That's why the American Cancer Society and PhillyCarShare have partnered together for PhillyPatientRide, a program that provides free transportation to patients who may have no other way of getting to their life-saving appointments.
Volunteers will be trained and have access to PhillyCarShare's fleet of vehicles to use to provide transportation to participating area hospitals and treatment centers.
Interested volunteers need only a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, a few hours per month and the drive to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients here in Philadelphia. For more information contact Jamie McCann at Jamie.firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.phillypatientride.org.
