K'NEX, the construction toy company focused on Building Worlds Kids Love™, announced today that they have entered into an agreement with Virtual Piggy, Inc. that will integrate the Virtual PiggyTM service with knex.com.
Virtual Piggy’s system provides eCommerce merchants a secure mechanism for children to shop online in a parent controlled, parent monitored, COPPA compliant environment. Free for all parents, the Virtual Piggy service will allow parents to set pre-authorized approvals and limits for their child’s online spending. Kids will then be able to manage their online budgets and to buy products from approved companies like K’NEX by clicking on the Virtual Piggy icon at checkout. Parents can choose to receive e-mail or text messages allowing them to approve or deny purchases.
