Join the American Heart Association and the Philadelphia Phillies for the 15th annual Home Runs For Heart two-day derby contest on May 1 and 2 from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at Citizens Bank Park. This event is held in honor of Hall of Famer Richie Ashburn, who died suddenly of a heart attack in 1997. In addition, we also honor the memory of Harry Kalas, longtime Phillies announcer, who passed away of heart disease in 2009. Individual participation-$400, teams of four-$1500. Come meet the Phanatic, take a tour of the Park, participate in a silent auction and meet the Phillies Ball Girls. Heart disease is the number one killer of Americans. That’s why the AHA wants you to bring your family and swing for the fences while you help us strike out heart disease and stroke. To register or for more information, contact Nick Suders at (215) 575-5218, nicholas.suders@heart.org or visit or heart.org/phillywalk.
