Attached is a Request for Proposal for a catering vendor for the ODDyssey Half Marathon.

The annual ODDyssey Half Marathon on May 22, 2011 is Philadelphia’s spring half marathon. It starts and finishes in front of Memorial Hall, where runners and spectators are invited to celebrate, listen to live music and cheer their fellow runners in.

The ODDyssey finishes with a party atmosphere at the finish line. Running clubs are invited to set up tents on the lawn, runners will be receiving one free beer to toast their accomplishment and there are free massages available at the finish line.

In 2011, the race is projected to draw 2,000-3,000 runners and an additional 1,000-2,000 spectators and guests. (More than 1,250 runners are already registered for the race). The combination of the hunger inducing half marathon, the party environment and the large crowd make the ODDyssey a great opportunity for the right vendor to cater and build upon the event.
