We are currently working with a client in the Mount Laurel area who is looking to fill an Underwriter position. The ideal individual chosen for this position must be able to complete the following tasks:
•Assess whether information on loan documents meets financial institution and/or government standards
•Evaluate creditworthiness of customers
•Interact with mortgage lenders to develop alternatives or exceptions on marginal loans
•Approve or decline loans within the institution’s credit policy guidelines
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field
•3+ years Underwriting experience
•Strong communication skills, written and oral
•Experience with Conventional and FHA loans
•Must be organized and detail-orientated
