Business owners are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of Cloud Computing; anywhere, anytime, any devise access to your network, business continuity, decreased capital expenditures, increased productivity, etc.

What a lot of business owners are not aware of is that there are multiple types of clouds and some are more suited to business than others. The two primary types of clouds are Public Clouds and Private Clouds.

Most of the general public is familiar with Public Clouds, e.g. Amazon, Google, iTunes, etc. With Public Clouds there is no certainty in regards to where your data resides. Your data could reside in multiple locations across the country or around the world.

With a Private Cloud you know exactly where your data resides. As a business owner if you’re in the Cloud you need to know where your data is and you need to know that you’ll be able to access it in the event of a disruption or disaster.
