Since 1982, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce has recognized those small businesses making a big difference in our region. The Chamber will honor the small business leaders nominated by their regional business peers and selected by a panel of distinguished business owners and advisors. Winners are chosen based on the nominees' demonstrated commitments to the advancement of the business community.
Each fall, the Chamber hosts this black-tie dinner dance to honor companies that stand out within the small business community. Members of the Chamber's Small Business Board and a volunteer committee play a major role in helping our staff to determine the winners and to promote the event.
Supplier Network Series
The Supplier Network series connects small business owners and executives with the region's foremost procurement officers. By enhancing their marketability and developing their business strategies, the current Supplier Network businesses have bolstered their qualifications to compete for contracts with the region's larger companies. The educational and networking series is seeing tangible results as more and more small companies — including woman-owned, minority-owned, and veteran-owned — are gaining direct business connection to the procurement executives and learning the secrets of securing contracts with large regional companies and government agencies.
Small Business Week 2013
The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and Verizon will co-present the region’s first Small Business Week from May 13 – 17, 2013. This weeklong campaign will highlight our region’s commitment to small businesses.
