In this workshop you will be walked through a day in the life of a business using the latest version of Office 365 and Windows 8 on a Lenovo Yoga touch enabled Ultrabook. You will be able to experience the new features of the Office Suite including Word Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook, try out Lync for communications, see how easy it is to collaborate using SharePoint and experience how these products interact seamlessly with the Office 365 cloud services and Windows 8.

This exhibit presents 33 posters, most targeting Africans and African-American civilians in times of war.
Join us for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:00 pm, and stay for special lectures. At 2:00 pm, Dr. Zuberi offers an overview of the poster collection, talking about what inspired him to start his collection—and what he hopes visitors will take away from the exhibition. Dr. Eugene Richardson, one of the original Tuskegee Airmen—an all African American regiment—from World War II, speaks at 3:00 pm. Free with Museum admission.

2013 Atlas Award: A Tribute to America's First Responders

From Hurricane Sandy to Sandy Hook to the Boston bombings, it has been the year of the First Responder. We invite you to stand with American communities as the World Affairs Council presents its 2013 Atlas Award in recognition of, and gratitude to, the men and women who so bravely respond when disaster strikes. The Council invites these heroes to be guests as we pay tribute to those who serve our communities. This unique event will acknowledge the sacrifices First Responders make. A donation will be made to the Newtown Lions Club Foundation – Fund to Benefit the Victims and First Responders of the Sandy Hook Elementary School and to Delaware Valley First Responders’ charities. CT Gov. Dannel Malloy will accept the 2013 Atlas Award on behalf of all First Responders.

Discussion will focus on navigating the challenges of being a “Woman in Power” in the corporate environment, and be led by Laura L. Rubenstein. Ms. Rubenstein is a management-side employment attorney, who is also a wife and mother of two young sons, and active board member of three community organizations.

Challenges to be addressed include:
