County Breakfast Conversations

In its 7th year, the County Breakfast Conversation series, in partnership with Select Greater Philadelphia, visits eight counties throughout northern Delaware, southern New Jersey, and southeastern Pennsylvania. Each breakfast highlights a specific industry that is driving local economic development and accelerating regional growth. Key players including business executives, economic developers, and policy officials discuss their involvement. Sponsorship of an event within this series demonstrates your company’s commitment to regionalism. The County Breakfast Series is held in the following counties: Montgomery County, New Castle County, Chester County, Philadelphia County, Bucks County, Delaware County, Mercer County, and Southern New Jersey.

Economic Outlook Breakfast

On Deck with the Phillies Luncheon

Each spring, we welcome the Philadelphia Phillies back from spring training and cheer them on to a winning season. Last year, nearly 1,500 regional business leaders gathered at Citizens Bank Park for this festive afternoon reception. The event includes a question-and- answer session with some of the team’s top players, autograph stations, and a complimentary ticket to stay for the team’s exhibition game that night.

Read to Me Early Literacy Program

More than 100 Chamber-member CEOs read aloud to thousands of students in pre-K and kindergarten classes in 20-plus schools throughout the Philadelphia School District at this annual event to promote the importance of early childhood literacy. The involvement of senior-level business executives is meant to draw attention to the value of taking time out to read to youngsters and to encourage other adults to do the same. The program also accepts financial donations to provide book collections to economically disadvantaged schools, training for teachers, and parent workshops.
